HEY MATE HERE'S YOUR ANSWER;

this is a technique to produce multiple copies of a piece of DNA or a sequence of DNA.

... it is nothing but a particular sequence of DNA any particular sequence of DNA forms a gene.

so our desired gene is the gene of interest. so now if we want to amplify that gene.
