Ampr gene is responsible for developing resistance antibiotics. They are helpful for the resistance and proper function of it.

EXPLANATION:

Ampicillin resistant gene is also known as ampR gene. They help in having the resistance from any disease and help in curing of it. Ampicillin is a type of antibiotic that fight against bacteria and its infection caused.  

The bacteria e-coli has ampR gene in its plasmids that makes it resistant towards any antibiotic used. Hence, there is no harm to the e-coli due to the action of antibiotic and it survives.
