ΔAMT ~ ΔAHE and MA/HA = 7/5 then which of the following is true a)A-H-M b)A-M-H c)M-A-H d)A-T-E

If ΔAMT ~ ΔAHE and MA/HA = 7/5 then A-H-M is true (option a).

Given:

ΔAMT ~ ΔAHE and MA/HA = 7/5

To Find:

Which of the line segment will match the upper conditions.

Solution:

Here,

ΔAMT is similar to ΔAHE.

Again,

MA/HA = 7/5

or, MA = \frac{7}{5} HA

That means we can say that MA or AM is longer than HA.

Taking this into consideration we can draw these two similar triangles and state that HE is parallel to MT. [As ΔAMT is similar or congruent to ΔAHE by S-A-S rule]

So, we can say that,

A-H-M is the required line segment or a side of those two triangles.
