Answer:

  • Average Power = 400 Watts.
  • Peak Power = 20000 watts
  • Energy Spent = 24000 Joules.

Explanation:

Solution:-

Firstly we calculate the Average power of electric iron.

Using Formula

Av. Power = /R

Where,

  • V denote voltage
  • R denote Resistance

Substitute the value we get

→ Av. Power = 200²/100

→ Av. Power = 200×200/100

→ Av. Power = 2×200

→ Av.Power = 400 W

  • Hence, the average power delivered by iron is 400 watts.

Now, Calculating the Peak Power

Peak Power = 400 × 50

Peak Power = 20000 W.

  • Hence, Peak Power is 20000 Watts.

And, Calculating the Energy Spent

Energy Spent = Power× time

Energy Spent = 400 × 60

→ Energy Spent = 24000 J

  • Hence, Energy spent in one minute is 24000 Joules.
