An 8 pole lap connected armature has 40 slots with 12 conductor per slot generates a voltage of 500 volt. Determine the speed at which it is running if the flux per pole is 50 miliweber​

Given:

Pole = 8

Slot = 40

Conductor per slot = 12

Total conductor = 12*40 = 480

E = 500V

Flux = 50 mWb = 50*10^{-3} Wb

It is very easy to answer this question as given below

We know that,

E = \frac{NP(Flus) Z}{60A}

On rearranging,

N = \frac{E*60*A}{N*P*(Flux)*Z}

On substituting the given values,

We will get,

N = \frac{500*60*8}{8*50*10^{-3}*480 }

N = \frac{240000}{192}

N = 1250 rpm

Hence, the speed will be equal to 1250 rpm.
