An 80 m long passenger train takes 80 seconds to cross a 600 m long goods train travelling at 54 km/h in the same direction. Find the speed of the passenger train. 9. One train 75 m long and travelling at 80 km/h crosses another train 125 m long travelling in the opposite directions at 40 km/h. In how much time will they cross each other?​

Distance covered by the passenger train in 4 hours =(80×4)km=320km

This is the distance covered by the goods train in 10 hours.

∴ Speed of goods train = 10320km/hr=32km/hr.

Relative speed of crossing=

(60+65)kmph=125kmph=125×5/18=625/18 m/s

So time of

crossing=175/(625/18)=18x175/625-126/25=5.
