Let a1 ,a2 ,a3,...be an ap with first term a and common difference d. A1=a=a+0=a+(1-1)d A2=a1+d=a+(2-1)d  Looking at the above pattern ,we can say that an=a+(n-1)d

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a1, a2, a3,.... be an ap with 1st term a,

common difference d,

A1 = a = a+0 = a+(1-1)d

A2 = a1+d = a1+(2-1)d

looking at the above equation,

we can say / prove that,

an = a+(n-1) d.
