An acidic solution of cu 2+ ions containing 0.4 g of cu2+ ions in electrolysed until all the copper is deposited. Calculate the volume of oxygen evolved at ntp.

63.5/2 =31.75g Cu2+ evolves oxygen gas at NTP = 1/2 x22400 =11200cc

and 0.4g evolves 11200 x .4 /31.75 =141cc oxygen gas
