Because Teenage girl is still developing and the food consumed by her will help in her growth and middle aged woman is fully grown so the food she will consume will increase her weight .

The reason is

teenage is a period where body of a person or a girl( as per your question) is in the growing age and hence it requires some sort of of energy for that which is acquired from food and thus that food is consumed for the growth WHEREAS in the case of a middle aged woman, her body is already developed thus she gains more amount of weight.
