A1) Salvatore's father was a fisherman who also had a small vineyard.
A2) Salvatore could not marry the girl he love because he had rheumatic and the girl would not marry a sick boy.
A3) The girl was not on the jetty to receive him because she has stop loving Salvatore after hearing his sickness.
A4) When Salvatore first heard about Assunta he was very angry and told her mother that Assunta is dark in color and looks like an evil witch.
