Distance travels by plane is 75 meters.

Explanation:

Given

Initial velocity=Vi = 36km/hr = 10 m/s

Time taken =t = 5 sec

Final velocity =Vf= 0

Acceleration =a= - 2m/s^2

Find distance = S=??

As we know

2nd equation of motion

S = Vit + 1/2 (at^2)

S = 10×5 + 1/2 (2×5^2)

S = 50 + 1/2 ( 50)

S = 50 + 25

S= 75 meters

Distance covered by plane is 75 meters.

Hope it helps
