Solution:

Let the speed of aeroplane to cover the certain distance in 5 h be x.

=> Distance = Speed × Time

=> 400 × 6 = 5x

=> x = 480 km/hr

Therefore, the speed of the aeroplane must be 480 km/hr.

Answer:

Distance = (240 × 5) = 1200 km.

Speed = Distance/Time

Speed = 1200/(5/3) km/hr.     [We can write 1 × 2/3 hours as 5/3 hours]

∴  Required speed = (1200×  3/5 ) km/hr=720 km/hr.
