Answer :-

Average speed of the aeroplane is 240 km/h .

Explanation :-

We have :-

→ 1st distance (d₁) = 200 km

→ 1st speed (v₁) = 300 km/h

→ 2nd distance (d₂) = 200 km

→ 2nd speed (v₂) = 200 km/h

______________________________

Firstly, we have to calculate the time taken by the aeroplane to cover both the distances respectively .

Time taken (for 1st distance) :-

⇒ t₁ = d₁/v₁

⇒ t₁ = 200/300

⇒ t₁ = 2/3

⇒ t₁ ≈ 1.67 h

Time taken (for 2nd distance) :-

⇒ t₂ = d₂/v₂

⇒ t₂ = 200/200

⇒ t₂ = 1 h

Average speed of the aeroplane :-

= Total distance/Total time

= (d₁ + d₂)/(t₁ + t₂)

= (200 + 200)/(1 + 1.67)

= 400/1.67

≈ 240 km/h

Explanation:

given :

  • aeroplane flies = 200 km

  • speed = 300km

  • aeroplane flies = 200km

  • speed = 200 km/ h

to find :

  • Calculate the average speed of the aeroplane.

solution:

  • please check the attached file

  • the answer is = 240

learn more :

  • in this question we have the formula is = d/v

  • we have to first find time and then,

  • we will find the d and volume

  • then we find last term d and t

  • so we will find the answer will be you get
