Step-by-step explanation:

Let speed of aeroplane =x and obtain =y

as given in question

x

3500

=

y

600

or 35y=6x →(1)

also given x=5y+50 →(2)

using equation (2) in equation (1), we get

35y=6(5y+50)

35y=30y+300

∴5y=300

∴y=60km/h then x=5y+50

=300+50

=350 km/h.

Answer:

speed of train = 60 km/h

speed of aeroplane = 350 km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

Train time and Aeroplane time is same

let the time be ( x )

distance covered by Train = 600 km

distance covered by Aeroplane = 3,500 km

speed of Train = 600/x km/h

speed aeroplane = 3,500/x km/h

according to question

(speed of plane) = 5×(speed of train) +50km/h

(3,500/x) = 5×(600/x) + 50km/h

3,500/x = 3,000/x + 50km/h

(3,500/x) - (3,000/x) = 50km/h

500/x = 50km/h

500/50 = x

x = 10 km/h

speed of aeroplane = 3,500/x km/h

speed of aeroplane = 3,500/10 km/h

speed of aeroplane = 350 km/h

speed of train= 600/x km/h

speed of train = 600/10 km/h

speed of train = 60 km/h
