using s = ut + 1/2gt^2

u=0, s=490m, t=?

490 = 0t + 1/2 * 10 * t^2

t=7\sqrt{2}

180km/h=180 * 5/18 m/s = 50 m/s

Therefore , speed = Dist/Time

dist = 50 * 7\sqrt{2}

dist= 350\sqrt{2}

Answer: d=500m

Explanation: speed=18km/hr=50m/sec

Altitude=490m

S=Ut+1/2at^2

490=0*t+1/2*9.8*t^2

t^2=100

t=10sec

Time taken to travel 490m=10sec

Distance=speed*Time

d=10*50

d=500m
