An aeroplane has a run of 500 m to take
off from the runway. It starts from rest
and moves with constant acceleration to
cover the runway in 30 sec. What is the
velocity of the aeroplane at the take off ?

ANSWER :-
displacement by plane = 500m
time taken = 30sec
initial velocity = 0m/s
by 1st eqn of motion ,
v = 0 + 30a -----------(1)
by 3rd eqn of motion ,
500 = 0 + 1/2× 30 × 30 a
500 = 15 × 30a
500 = 450a
a = 50/45 = 10/9 m/s^2. ------(2)
substituting the value of a in eqn (1),
v = 0 + 30×10/9
v = 100/3 = 33.33 m/s
the final velocity of plane while taking off was 33.33 m/s.
