Time taken to reach ground
T = sqrt(2h/g) [This is the basic formula which you need to remember, especially while writing a competitive exam]
= sqrt(2 × 1000 m / 10 m/s²) [assuming g = 10 m/s²]
= 10√2 s
= 14.14 s
Distance = Velocity × Time
= (144 × 5/18) m/s × 14.14 s
= 565.6 m
Bomb should release 565.6 m before target.
