INTEGERS :

The numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4…. and -1 -2 -3 -4….. are called integers. 1, 2, 3, 4…. are called positive integers while -1 -2 -3 -4 are called negative integers.

•Positive integers are represented on the number line on the right of the of the origin and negative integers are represented on the number line on the left of the origin.

•The height above the ground level is denoted as positive (+) and below the ground level is denoted as negative(-) .
