An aeroplane is flying at a speed of 144 km/hr at an altitude of 1000m. How far from a given target should bomb be released from it to hit the target?​

taken to reach ground

T = sqrt(2h/g)

= sqrt(2 × 1000 / 10)

= 14.14 seconds

Distance = Velocity × Time

= 144 × 5/18 m/s × 14.14 seconds

= 565.6 m

Bomb should release 565.6 m before target.
