we have to find X+y
in triangle ABC
tan 45 = AC/ BC
1 = 300/BC
BC = 300 m
in triangle ACD
tan 60 = AC/ CD
√3 = 300/CD
CD = 300/√3
CD = 100√3
total width = BC +CD = 300+100√3 = 100 ( 3+√3 )
= 100(4.732) = 473.2 m
in triangle ABC
