An aeroplane is flying with the velocity of
V=800 kmph relative to the air towards south.
A wind with velocity of V=15 ms-t is blowing
from West to East. What is the velocity of the
aeroplane with respect to the earth.​

According to the problem the plane is flying with respect to air with the velocity v(plane) =  222.2  m/s(converted)

The velocity of the wind blowing v(wind) = 15 m/s and it is blowing  by making an angle of 90°.

Therefore,

The velocity of the plane with respect to ground

v(ground) = v(plane) + v(wind)cos90°

                  = 222.2 + 15

                  =  222.2 m/s or 800 km/hr
