Explanation :

It is given that,

Initial velocity of an Aeroplane, u = 216 km/h = 60 m/s

It stops and then final velocity, v = 0

Distance covered, s = 2 Km = 2000 m

Using third equation of motion :

v^2-u^2=2as

0-(60\ m/s)^2=2a\times 2000\ m

a=-0.9\ m/s^2

Again using first equation of motion :

v=u+at

0=60\ m/s-0.9\ m/s^2t

t=66.67\ s

Hence, this is the required solution.
