Using the formula:

s =  \frac{1}{2} (u + v)t

Where:

s = distance

u = initial velocity

v = final velocity

t = time

1 = 1/2(180 + 0)t

From which t = 1/90 hours

To get retardation, we use the formula:

s = ut + 1/2at²

1 = 180*(1/90) + 1/2a (1/90)²

-1/2a (1/90)² = 180*(1/90) - 1

                  a  = -16200 km/h²

The negative sign shows that it is a retardation

So the plane's retardation is 16200 km/h²

Answer:

Explanation:

Where:

s = distance

u = initial velocity

v = final velocity

t = time

1 = 1/2(180 + 0)t

From which t = 1/90 hours

To get retardation, we use the formula:

s = ut + 1/2at²

1 = 180*(1/90) + 1/2a (1/90)²

-1/2a (1/90)² = 180*(1/90) - 1

a = -16200 km/h²

The negative sign shows that it is a retardation

So the plane's retardation is 16200 km/h²
