An aeroplane left 40 minutes late due to heavy rains and inorder to reach its destination,1600km away in time, it had to increase its speed by 400km/hr from its original speed.Find the original speed of the plane.

Let the original speed of plane be 100km/h
increase in speed is 400km/h
so, new speed =500km/h
now, the distance is 1600km
Original speed=100/500×1600
that gives 320km/h
