an aeroplane move 400m towards North 300m towards west and then 1200m vertically upwards then its its displacement from the initial point is

Here,

OA = 400 m

AB = 300 m

BC = 1200 m

Now,

OB^2 = OA^2 + AB^2

And,

OC^2 = OB^2 + BC^2 = OA^2 + AB^2 + BC^2 = 160000 + 90000 + 1440000

=> OC = 1300 m

This is the magnitude of the displacement of the plane.
