Answer:

45:166

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance covered by an areoplane in 1hr.40min.=1350units

Distance covered by an areoplane in 1min.=1350/60+40=1350/100=13.5km

Distance covered by an areoplane in 1hr.=13.5×60=810km

Distance covered by an helicopter in 2hr.40min.=600km.

Distance covered by an helicopter in 2hr.40min.=600/(2×60)+40=600/160=3.75km

Distance covered by an helicopter in 1hr.=3.75×60=225km

Distance covered by an helicopter:Distance covered by an areoplane=810:225km/hr. =45:166km/hr.

Given:-

  • Time taken by the aeroplane to cover the distance = 1 hr 40 min.
  • Distance covered by the aeroplain = 1350 km.
  • Time taken by the helicopter to cover the distance = 2 hr 40 min.
  • Distance covered by the aeroplain = 600 km.

To find:-

  • Find the ratio of the speed of the aeroplain and helicopter..?

Solutions:-

  • Let the speed of the aeroplane be 's' km/hr.

  • Time taken = 1 hr 40 min
  • Distance covered = 1350 km

Time = 1 hr 40 min

=> 1 + 40/60 hr

=> 60 + 40/60 hr

=> 100/60 hr

=> 5/3 hr

The speed of the aeroplane.

Speed = Distance/Time taken

=> S = 1350 × 3/5 km/hr

=> S = 810 km/hr

Speed of the aeroplane = 810 km/hr

Now,

  • Let the speed of the helicopter be 's' km/hr.

  • Time taken = 2 hr 40 min.
  • 2 hr 40 min distance covered = 600 km.

Time = 2 hr 40 min

=> 2 + 40/60 hr

=> 120 + 40/60 hr

=> 160/60 hr

=> 8/3 hr

The speed of the helicopter.

Speed = Distance/Time taken

=> S = 600 × 3/8

=> S = 225 km/hr.

Speed of the helicopter = 225 km/hr.

So,

Ratio of aeroplane and helicopter = Speed of the aeroplane/Speed of the helicopter

=> R = 810 : 225

Hence, the ratio of aeroplane and helicopter is 810 : 225.
