An aeroplane taking off from a field has a run of 50m. What is the acceleration and take off velocity if it leaves the
ground 10s after the start?​

Initial velocity (u) = 0

Time (t) = 10 sec

Using second equation of motion :

s = ut + 1/2 at square

500 = 0 + 1/2 a × 10 × 10

500 = 50a

=> a = 10 m/sec square

Using first equation of motion :

v = u + at

v = 0 + 10 × 10

v = 100 m/sec
