an aeroplane taxies on the Runway of 30 seconds with an acceleration of 3.2 metre per second square before taking of .How much distance would it have covered on the runway

Starting Velocity (u) = 0

Acceleration (a) = 3.2 m/s^2

Time(t) = 30 s.

Now, by Newton's 2nd equation =>

s = u×t + 1/2(a×t^2)

s = 0 + 1/2 × 3.2 × 30 × 30

s = 900 × 1.6

s = 1440 m.

Total distance covered (s) = 1440 metres.
