Answer:

Speed for half time i.e.2 hours = 900 km/ph

Speed for another half time i.e.2 hours= 760km/ph

Total time=4 hours

Average Speed = Total distance / Total Time

We need to find Distance 's'

For first half time s = speed x time

= 900 x 2

= 1800 km

For second half time s= 760 x 2

=1520

Total s = 1800+1520

=3320km

Average Speed = 3320/4

= 830 km/ph

Answer:

The average speed = 830 kmph

Explanation:

Speed of  first half time = 900 kmph

Speed of second half time = 760 kmph

Total time = 4 hrs.

To get the average speed first find the distance

So,

Case A

distance  = speed × time

⇒ 900 kmph  × 2 hrs

⇒ 1800 km    ----------------------(A)

Case B

distance = speed × time

⇒ 760 kmph × 2 hrs

⇒ 1520 km     ----------------------(B)

Adding (A) and (B)

1800 km + 1520 km  = 3320 km

Total distance =  3320 km

Now, find the average speed

average speed =  total distance travelled / total time taken

⇒ 3320 / 4

⇒ 830 kmph

Therefore,

The average speed = 830 kmph
