The agent sold 20 vehicles.

Given,

Total commission paid to agent = Rs. 30000

Percentage of commission on the sale of each vehicle = 10%

Price of each vehicle = Rs. 15000

To Find,

No. of vehicles sold by the agent

Solution,

We know that the total commission paid to the agent is the product of no. of vehicles sold and the commission received on each vehicle

The commission received on each vehicle is given as 10% of Rs. 15000

That is, the commission received on each vehicle is Rs. 1500

Let then no. of vehicles sold be n. Then we have the following:

⇒ 30,000 = 1,500 × n

⇒ n = 30,000 ÷ 1,500

n = 20

Therefore, the no. of vehicles sold by the agent = 20
