Explanation:

As per the question,

Given data are:

Power of an air-conditioner = 3.2 kW = 3200 W

Since,

( 1 kW = 100 W )

Current of domestic electric circuit = 10 A

Voltage supplied = 220 V

As we know the formula for power is

Power = Voltage × Current

⇒ 3.2 = 220 × I

⇒ I = 14.54 A

As we can see that the required current to run an air-conditioner safely is 14.54 A. But the given supply of current by electric circuit is 10 A, which is less than 14.54 A. Therefore this air-conditioner can not run and if we on the switch, the fuse of main electric supply will blow off.
