An airplane flies 400 km west from city A to city B, then 300 km northwest to city C, and finally 100 km north to city D. How far is from city A to city D? In what direction must the airplane head to return directly to city A from city D?

1)according to questions airplanes goes A to B city = 400km west.

2)city C= 300km northwest

3)city D= 100km north

so from A to city D how far goes

city C+cityD= 300 + 100= 400

Ato B= 400+ 400 as the answer come

800km then subtracting C and D city

300+100-800

400km to north
