The net displace is hypotenuse of triangle ,in which 1st side =400-300=100m and 2nd side=1200m

by applying pythagorous theorem we get,
 {h}^{2}  =  {100}^{2}  +  {1200}^{2}
 {h}^{2}  = 10000 + 1440000
 {h}^  = \sqrt{1450000}
h = 1024(approx)
