Time interval between 2 shuttle trips = 4 mins

Time after 29 shuttles = 29 x 4 = 116 mins

Rate at which people enter the line = 6 per min

So, in 116 mins, people joining the line = 6 x 116 = 696 people

Now, number of people who were already in line = 250 people

Number of people who remained in line after 29th trip departure = 424 people

So, no. of people who together took 29 trips will be =

696 + 250 - 424 = 522 people

So, no. of people in 1 trip = 522 / 19 = 18

Therefore, shuttle capacity is 18 per trip.

Let's get the total time taken by the shuttle for the 29 trips :

Rate = 4minutes per shuttle

4 × 29 = 116 minutes.

In the 116 minutes, the total number of people who joined the line are :

Rate = 6people per Minute

6 × 116 = 696 people.

Total passengers :

People before 9a.m (250) + people who joined after 9.am (696) = 940

Those who remained after the 29th trip = 424

Those who were carried in the 29 trips :

940 - 424 = 522 people

The number carried by each shuttle trip:

522 / 29 = 18peole per shuttle trip.
