A reacts with phenyl hydrazine which indicates it to be a ketone or aldehyde. On reaction with I2, yellow ppt is obtained which is iodoform which shows the presence of alpha methyl group. Therefore, A is acetone. 

B is phenyl hydrazone of acetone and C is iodoform.
