Given" Alloy consists of 27 1/2 kg of copper and 2 3/4 kg of time"

Total weight of alloy = 27 1/2 + 2 3/4

= 55/2 + 11/4

=2(55) + 11 /4

=110+11/4

=121/4 kg

=30.25 kg

we can write it as ...

= 30 1/4 kg is the total weight..

Now Weight of Tin = 2 3/4 kg..

Ratio by weight of Tin to alloy is..

(2 3/4) / (30 1/4)

(11/4) / (121/4)

(!1×4) /(4×121)

(1/11)....or 1 : 11 is the Ratio by weight of Tin to Alloy

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Cu=27 1/2 kg=55/2kg

Sn= 2 3/4kg=11/4 kg

Wt(tin:alloy)=?

Wt. of alloy=(55/2) + (11/4) =121/4

B/Q

(11/4)÷(121/4)

=1/11

Thus, answer=1:11
