As given

An alloy consists of  7/2 gm of copper and  11/4 gm of tin.

weight of copper/weight of tin = (7/2)/(11/4)

                                                  = (7 * 4)/(11 * 2)

                                                  = 28/22

                                                  = 14/11

Therefore the ratio of the copper to that of tin in the alloy is 14 : 11 .
