Total Parts of Alloy = 13+7+5 => 25

% of Copper = \sf{\dfrac{13}{25}\times 100 = 13\times4=52\%}\\

% of Zinc = \sf{\dfrac{7}{25}\times100=7\times4=28\%}\\

% of Nickel = \sf{\dfrac{5}{25}\times100=5\times4=20\%}\\

Therefore, the total percent adds up to 100%.

So,

% of Copper = 52%

% of Zinc = 28%

% of Nickel = 20%

Hope it helps u

Step-by-step explanation:

Composition

⬇️

__________________________________________________________

⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

Copper Zinc Nickel

(13 parts) (7 parts) (5 parts)

Total number of Parts => 13+7+5 = 25

% of copper =>  \frac{number \: of \: parts \: of \: copper \:  \:  \times 100}{total \:  parts}

=> \frac{13 \:  \:  \times 100}{25}

=> 52%

% of Zinc =>  \frac{7 \:  \:   \times 100}{25}

=> 20%

% of Nickel =>  \frac{5 \:  \:   \times 100}{25}

=> 28%

Therefore, Percentage compostion of the alloy is :

Copper = 52%

Zinc = 28%

Nickel = 20%
