an alloy contains 40℅ of copper, 32℅ of nickel and rest zinc. find the mass of zinc in 1 kg of the alloy.

Let the % be x.

40 + 32 + x = 100

72 + x = 100

x = 100 - 72

x = 28.

Given, Mass = 1 Kg

So, mass of zinc = 28 / 100

= 0.28 Kg.
