Step-by-step explanation:

I will assume you have 100% of mass, and mean mass, so 40% + 32% = 72%, leaving 28% for zinc, and 28% of a kg is 0.28 kg.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

in 1kg of alloy weight of copper  = 40% = 400g

in 1kg of alloy weight  of nickel = 32% = 320g

Then mass of zinc = 1000g - (400g+320g)

=280g
