An alloy conyain 40% copper ,32%nickel and zinc find the mass of zinc in one kg of the alloy

Quantity of copper in alloy =40 %

Quantity of Nickel in alloy =32 %

So,

Quantity of Zinc,

=> 100-(Amount of copper +Nickel)

 = > 100 \%- (40 \% + 32\%)

 = > 100\% - 72\%

 = > 28\%

Hence,

Quantity of Zinc in alloy=28%

Now,

Mass of Alloy =1 kg

So,

Mass of Zinc =

=>28/100

=>.28 kg

Hence,

Weight of Zinc in 1 kg of alloy is ,".28 kg".

= 40%

= 40% of 1kg

= 40 ×1 / 100 = 0.4kg

quantity of nickle in alloy = 32%

32% of 1kg = 0.32 × 1 = 0.32kg

total quantity of copper, Nickel and zinc = 1kg

copper + nickle + zinc = 1kg

0.4kg + 0.32kg + zinc = 1kg

0.72kg + zinc = 1kg

zinc = 1kg - 0.72kg

zinc = 0.28kg
