An alloy of tin and copper consists of 15 parts of tin ans 105 parts of copper . find the percent of copper in the alloy?

Let the amount of Tin in a sample of alloy be $15x$

Let the amount of Copper in the same sample of alloy be $105x$.

The percent of Cu in the alloy is

$\frac{105x}{105x+15x} *100\%=\frac{105}{120}*100\% =87.5\%$
