Let the amount of Tin in a sample of alloy be 15x

Let the amount of Copper in the same sample of alloy be 105x .

The percent of Cu in the alloy is

 \frac{105x}{105x+15x} *100\%=\frac{105}{120}*100\% =87.5\%

Here is your Solutions :-

Given :

Tin = 15 parts
Copper = 105 parts

Alloy of tin and copper = (15 + 105) = 120

Now,

Find the Percentage of copper in alloy :-

% of copper=105/120×100% = 87.5%

Hence,
Percentage of copper is 87.5 % in alloy.
