An alloy of tin and copper consists of 3 parts of copper to 1 part of tin. find the percentage composition of the alloy?

Let's consider 3 parts copper to be 3x and 1 part tin to be x

Total = 3x + x = 4x

% composition of the alloy,

copper = 3x/4x * 100 = 75 %

tin = x/4x * 100 = 25 %
