Electrical fittings are made up of alloy called Brass.
- Brass is the alloy that is obtained through combination of two elements namely copper and zinc.
- The brass is used in electrical fittings because of the following reasons:
- The copper present in it conducts electricity as it is a good conductor of electricity.
- As Zinc is an anti-corrosive agent, it protects the copper from getting corroded and thus provides long life to the brass fittings.
