The discount is given in percentage

Hence , the m.p is taken as 100

 \huge \ rate  \: of \:  \\ disount \: 5\%

amount \: of \: discount =  \frac{5}{100}  \times  100

 = 5

selling price =M.P-discount

100 - 5 = 95

if s.p is 95 then m.p is 100

when m.p is 5225

m.p =  \frac{100}{95}  \times 5225

m.p of the almirah =5,500
