it is given that, potential drop across the resistance , V_R = 200V

potential drop across the inductance, V_L = 150V

we know, applied voltage in case of L-R circuit is given by, V=\sqrt{V_R^2+V_L^2}

= \sqrt{200^2+150^2} V

= \sqrt{40000+22500} V

= \sqrt{62500} V

= 250 V

hence, applied voltage is 250V
