Given : An alternating voltage is given by v = 250 sin 500t.

To Find : (i) freque ncy and average value.

(ii) Value of voltage after 2 msec.

(iii)  The time taken by voltage to reach 150 volt.

Solution:

v = 250 sin(500t)

v = Vm Sin(ωt)

Vm = 250

ω = 500

ω = 2πf

2πf = 500

=> f = 500/2π

=> Frequency =  500/2π = 79.58 Hz

Average Voltage = (2/π) Vm

= (2/π) 250

= 159.15 V

Value of voltage after 2 msec.

v = 250 sin(500*2/1000)

v = 250sin(1)

1 rad  = 180/π  deg = 57.296

v = 250sin(57.296°)

v =210.36 V

150 = 250 sin(500t)

=> sin(500t) = 0.6

=>500t = 0.6435

=> t = 1.287 ms

time taken by voltage to reach 150 volt. = 1.287 ms
