An altitude of a triangle is five thirds the length of its corresponding base if the altitude were increased by 4cm and base be decrease by 2cm tge the area of triangle would same find the base and altitude of triangle

Let the base be X

Then altitude = 5/3 X

New altitude = (5X+12)/3

New base = X-3

:-) 5X^2/6= (5X^2-3X -36)/6

:-) 3X=36

:-) X=12

Hence,base is 12cm and altitude is 20cm
