An AM (Amplitude Modulation) signal has a total power of 48 Watts with 100% modulation.
Calculate the power in the carrier signal and in the side bands.

modulation index m = 1
Total power in AM signal = Pc (1 + m²/2) 
=>  48 W = Pc * 3/2
=> Pc = 32 W

Power in message signal Pm = 48-32 = 16 W
Power in each sideband = Pm/2 = 8 W
