An amoeba that lives in freshwater has a special structure called a contractile vacuole which is used to pump water out of the cell, an amoeba that lives in saltwater does not have a contractile vacuole. Explain these two observation.​

because there is diffusion of water out of the organism ..

since solute concentration is higher outside the membrane of amoeba
